LET IT BREATHE

The ever-so-still Night
Cradled the day's pains,
Letting in the solemn silver light
Filter through closed curtains.

Dim lights and soft shadows converged,
With Serenity taking over, gone were the frantic thoughts and hesitation.
As if time and space had merged,
And the Earth had suspended its rotation.

The world was utterly captivating, largely at moonrise.
Its expansive, dotted magic within reach, yet unfairly overlooked.
The Universe's gifts, once more undervalued,
Peripheral to the rush hour at sunrise.

A flicker of the early sun rays peeked through the window,
The birds' lullabies turned into cheerful notes, fluttering over the meadow.
The warm, golden glow kissed the night's pale cheeks.
Familiar footsteps, the soft wooden floor creaks.

The crisp, earthy smell of freshly-mowed grass permeated the humid air,
Paired with the cocooning buzz of gleeful bees.
A stout fountain decorated the front yard, pouring rivulets with regal care.
Wheat crops swayed gently in the distance, with the spring's breeze.

Dew droplets rested on the wildflowers,
Their petals splashed with the hue of love that perdures.
The trees no longer barren, could now boast of their verdures.
Springtime bloomed, bygone the bleakness of past winters.

For a brief moment,
Past sufferings and each trouble,
Seemed all worth the struggle
If now I get to witness these sorrows becoming dormant.
